The childern alluded to in the present article must belong to a family. *

For immigrants older than 40 years the premium can only be granted in case they belong to an immigrating family.

Art." 2: · In order to be entitled to the premium, offered for a male person, the immigrant must be bealthy, of moral conduct, fit for field or factory labour in Surinam and must have engaged himself as follows: those from India and China for at least 5 years, and those from the other countries for at least 3 years.

Art. 3. Each party of immigrants, except from the Azores, Madera, the Canaries, the Cape Ford Islands and the Fest-Indies must be composed of both sexes, in the proport ion of one female on every three immigrants unless there exist in the countries where the immigrants are engaged different regulations, which then are binding. Only one female on every four immigrants is required with each party of Chinese immigrants imported.
